Touch

Left thumb: ◀ ▶ steering pad. Right thumb: GAS (top) / BRAKE (bottom). HAND BRAKE and BOOST sit beside them. All work at the same time. Recovery: Pause → Recover car. Auto-throttle (Settings) keeps the gas on until you brake — steering stays yours.

Driving model

Brake in a straight line before corners; braking and turning share the same tyre grip. Releasing the throttle shifts weight forward and helps the nose turn in. Countersteer to catch a slide. Relative grip: dry tarmac 1.00, wet tarmac 0.72, dry loose 0.80, wet loose/snow 0.65 — the same for rivals. Wet tyres recover part of the wet loss. Hills change braking distance. Pace notes (top centre) grade the next corner from 1 (hairpin) to 6 (flat out).
